Hotel Roma is located very close to the metro station of the same name (walking distance approx. 3-5 minutes). From the metro station it is possible to reach both the city centre (Piazza commerce and seaport) and the airport. Immediately pleasantly surprised by the very polite staff, without unnecessary red tape checked into the room, provided a receipt for the report on the business trip, and left breakfast in the box (because of the very early departure of the plane was not possible to get to breakfast). The room is spacious and cozy, clean, has a floor air conditioner. The bathroom has everything you need. Very comfortable and large bed. I liked the hotel.
Sometimes there was noise from passing trains, but not critical.

Overall, hotel has left a very pleasant impression. Spacious. Spacious, with a balcony. Quiet enough: the noise from the street or the elevator nearby did not disturb. room had slippers, free bottle of water. There were ten hangers, Comfortable beds. Comfortable beds, not hard. hotel had a restaurant and a bar working late. small souvenir shop. There you can buy, for example, souvenir cork with a Portuguese rooster to close a bottle of wine you bought. Roma Metro is a five-minute walk on the left hand. There is a direct line to Rossio and Baixa Chiada stations, so you can reach the centre in about 15-20 minutes. To the right across the street is the Roma Areiro station. From there, there are trains to Sintra. They are cheap and take 40 minutes to get to Sintra.
If you have high breakfast requirements, you may not be completely satisfied. All five days at the hotel, choice was about the same. lot of baked goods, they look better than they taste. only ones who liked it were the Pastele de Nata and croissants. Of the fruit in December, kiwi were quite ripe. There were three or four kinds of juice: pear, peach, mango and orange. cheese, sausage, omelette, some yogurts. I'm fine with breakfast. There's a taxi stop outside the hotel. Be prepared for the driver to try to trick you. At night he demanded 15 euros for the trip, although the meter showed 7. 5 euros. he began to find out in Portuguese what the reason was, he began to say goodbye quickly and claim that the cost doubled due to the large number of things, this is not true (two standard size suitcases and one sports bag). There is a taxi stop next to the hotel. Be ready that driver will try to deceive you. we came to the airport he charged 15 euro though counter showed 7. 5 euro. Driver said the reason is that we had too wuch laggage. it was lie - only two standard suitcases and one usual sports bag for two persons.

Wonderful nice basic place, it has particularly good and perfect location near metro and train, and Close to the metro station. Pleasant hotel stuff at the reception desk, everything was amazing. Have a drink at the downstairs bar.

Stayed at this hotel for a week on a business trip. Very good crack, not new, but quite decent. The room has everything you need: hair dryer, shower gel, shampoo, safe, workplace. The hotel has upgraded the room from ordinary to comfortable for free, so we have a very spacious room with an additional recreation area and a second job. We rented several rooms, all with balconies. In the mornings, we served a rather varied breakfast. The hotel is a two-minute walk from the metro station and across the street from where you can go to Sintra. There are many shops, a supermarket and cafes around. The centre can be reached by subway or on foot in 40 minutes. Checked out early in the morning, asked in advance for lunch box instead of breakfast, no problem done.
Coffee at breakfast wasn't the best.

I asked a quiet room and they gave me the one.
Many groups stay this hotel. So you better ask a quiet room when you check in, and go earlier at the breakfast. or you'll suffer from them.

Honesty we've liked everything about the hotel specially the restaurant's food quality. At a decent price you get a great service and better food. Highly recommended!

Good sized family room, quiet, friendly staff, convenient location
The coffee for breakfast was such poor quality - like the coffee you used to get at service stations in the 70s - that despite being more than happy with every single other aspect of the hotel and a frequent visitor to Lisbon I will really have to think twice before returning to the hotel Roma. What a shame!

(1) proximity to airport, (2) across the street from the metro station, (3) taxi stop outside
lack of proper soundproofing from clients talking on the hallway.

Spacious, clean room. Close to the airport, easy to catch the metro to the city centre too. Good low-budget hotel for a short night or 2 trip.
Staff´s english was poor. Hotel was also a bit old / old-fashioned.

The Family-Room consisted of two separate, spaceous rooms with a TV each. It had a fully equipped kitchenette with microwave, fridge, cooker and cooking utils.
The windows have not been very airtight. The cold october air in the night and the noise of the busy street in the morning were a little disturbing. There was a thick curtain, but it only kept out some part of the noise and airflow.

Very noise and uncomfortable pillows. Whenever the air conditioning was turned on the air became impossible to breath since it was extremly dry.

The room was spacious and clean. The location is excellent, with easy access to public transport and a nearby market for fresh fruit and drinks. While I appreciated the upgrade we received, I did find the elevator situation a bit frustrating during busy hours. A good value for the price and a nice base for exploring the city.
